Fragonard, Jean-Honore

   Painter, engraver, and etcher. Influenced by Boucher and Vanloo, as well as others. One of the major figures of the French Rococo style period. His luxurious and sensual works, primarily for royal patrons, included many with the kind of galante themes that influenced a generation of painters and illustrators.
